Today, I had a flying visit from 2009 BSc Audio Technology graduate Leo Worsdale. Leo spent four weeks earlier this year working at the BBC’s Western House studios as a Broadcast Assistant intern on the Shaun Keaveny show. Leo applied for the post through the BBC’s work experience website and he told me how his day would range from getting the breakfasts for the presenters to creating a clip highlight package to meeting guests such as the Foo Fighters, Dylan Moran and Simon Pegg. He also made a trailer which was well received by the producer and was broadcast on the show (listen below). Next up for Leo is working on the Jeremy Vine show and then, hopefully, as a freelance producer for Radio 2. Of course, he’ll be coming back to Lincoln to tell the students all about it.
